About SpendKeep

A household-first way to keep everyday finances visible, understandable, and shared.

Our purpose

SpendKeep exists to reduce the friction between recording a transaction and understanding what it means for a household. Income, expenses, categories, members, budgets, and reports belong in one coherent picture.

The goal is not to replace judgment with a score. It is to make the information behind everyday money decisions easier to see and discuss.

Household-first by design

Personal finance is often shared in practice. A grocery purchase may benefit several people, one member may record an expense for another, and not everyone in a household needs an app account.

SpendKeep supports owners, invited app users, and tracked members so records can reflect the real household. Default currency, member attribution, category budgets, and a shared savings objective keep that context attached to the numbers.

Web and Android

The responsive web application is available now and works across desktop and mobile browsers. It supports password and Google sign-in, multiple currencies, English and Romanian interfaces, and light and dark themes.

SpendKeep's Android app is in internal testing on Google Play.

Control over your data

SpendKeep records the financial details users choose to provide, including transactions, household relationships, categories, recurring income, budgets, and savings objectives.

The application provides paths to request a data export, delete SpendKeep data without removing the wider identity account, or delete the full account. These controls are part of the product rather than an afterthought.

Built through practical iteration

SpendKeep is developed as a focused, evolving product. Features are added around real household workflows, from transaction entry and CSV import to member-aware reports and recurring income.

The web client, Android client, and .NET services evolve together. Feedback helps decide what should be simplified, strengthened, or built next.

About the developer

SpendKeep is built by Tudor, a software developer with experience across hands-on engineering, team management, and product leadership.

He also writes Relaxed Coder, a blog about programming, software development, and practical career guidance. SpendKeep applies the same preference for useful tools, clear tradeoffs, and steady improvement.
